General Conditions

Lake passenger transport contract of Southern Spirit Lago Argentino SRL.

  1. 1

This lake passenger transport contract is governed solely by the conditions set out in this boarding pass and by the laws of the Argentine Republic, and constitutes the only valid document for boarding.

  2. 2

The service will be provided on any of the vessels available to the carrier, to be determined by the carrier at the time of boarding at the port of departure.

  3. 3

The service does not include food, drinks or entry to National Parks jurisdiction.

  4. 4

For legal and safety reasons the carrier reserves the right of admission to board, and the responsibility of parents or guardians for minors.

  5. 5

If the trip does not take place due to unforeseeable circumstances, force majeure relating to the vessel, weather conditions (strong wind) or acts of nature (the pier being blocked by icebergs), or an act of authority, the contract is terminated with a refund of the ticket price and no further compensation. The refund will be made at the place where the ticket was purchased, within 24 hours.

  6. 6

If the passenger cancels the contracted service, fails to appear or does not arrive at the scheduled boarding time, the amount paid will be forfeited, with no right to any claim.

  7. 7

Passengers are obliged to present themselves at the scheduled boarding time, and are responsible for any inconvenience and delay caused by their lateness.

  8. 8

Once the trip is under way, the vessel's captain may make changes to the route on safety grounds; in such a case the transport service shall be deemed fulfilled, with no right to any claim.

  9. 9

The carrier accepts no liability for the loss, theft or misplacement of objects, money or goods carried by the passenger.

  10. 10

The carrier's liability is limited in all cases under the terms and scope of the law of the Argentine Republic in force at the time of the event.

  11. 11

During boarding, the stay on board and disembarking, passengers shall strictly comply with the orders given by the captain and/or the rest of the crew and/or the competent authority (Argentine Naval Prefecture, National Parks Administration). Any breach will be reported to the relevant authority for its intervention.

  12. 12

Passengers must notify the captain on board, immediately and before disembarking at the port of destination, of any damage and/or injury suffered during the transport or the trip, as well as any complaint or suggestion they wish to make about the service, the carrier's staff or third parties and/or any situation that occurred; for this purpose the vessel carries the corresponding complaints and/or incidents book. If the passenger omits such notice, they will forfeit any right to claim.
